

The ground-breaking festival begins with Battle of the Pitches and the Ten-Minute Asian Pacific Islander Play Contest
presentation.
Screenwriters will compete live with their pitches in an audience- and juror-judged contest in areas of performance
and persuasive ability, quality of screenplay log line and idea, originality, and overall writing ability.
Any writer can enter Battle of the Pitches which has a focus on promoting and discovering Asian Pacific Islander
writers and on scripts that have prominent, non-stereotypical, and strong Asian Pacific Islander characters and
themes.
Battle of the Pitches participants enter for $5 along with admission, and winners are awarded a cash prize. The top
vote getters will also have their screenplay log line and synopsis along with contact information prominently displayed
during the festival for interested industry entities. Cash prizes will be awarded. Celebrity judges.
Programs assist in the promotion and education of undiscovered, unattached, and unknown talent.
